Geezeee, have we call everyone at AA, cranky old pilots without reflects? Did you remember when you where young?
Yes, Eagle is a mess and took the domestic flying because people of your generation where the ones that wanted to fly jets for pennies.
So let's not start with the **** of eagle this eagle that, when Eagle was the one that gave you the opportunity to be a airline pilot.
Eagle is not the best company of the world, but AA is pretty far from that.
Interesting you find no problem with the EXACT opposite is "respect" for those older and whiz right past Wrongtips deliberate swipe of more mature workers.........I guess that's okay. You know.......it's ok to sling it out there, but not to have to take it back ?
Look, AFAIC, Wingtips has become your spokesman and your rep here if you're an Eagle pilot (and now apparently if you're "young" like him). I don't see many of his fellow pilots criticizing the things he says or believes, so that must mean sympathetic acceptance. You're judged by the company you keep. If I was still at Eagle (or younger), I'd still be his nemesis because he represents the worst of the "new" Eagle (or the "young pilot") IMO. For the record, I still have many freinds there and most Eagle pilots are a class act and in a bad situation just like those at AA. Many of their newer, younger pilots seem sharp, as well.
The POINT of my post was to highlight an equal reverse and see the myopic reaction of the sympathetically silent. Of course, not ALL "young people" (or pilots) are like that, but with age comes wisdom (usually). Most of the other employees of mature carriers like UAL, DAL and SWA, etc. provide a far superior service then those at the regional level (AA's workforce is probably similar in age and maturity to the other legacies). Painful for some to accept, but true. AA's product has sagged badly, but that's not the fault of employees who've been excessively abused for over a decade (or age), it's a byproduct of that treatment. Cramped planes and no investment in entertainment hasn't helped either, but AA's product is still far superior to that on Eagle and when your spokesman sympathetically trumpets the idea of his regional hijacking mainline to become the new mainline and/or makes dergatory references to AA mainline employees as a group, you don't disagree. You then only voice disapproval not at what your spokesman advocates or his deragatory sweeping generalizations (AKA, "inflammatory comments") toward those older, but an equal, but opposite response that chaps your hide.
That's selective rationalization.
Wingtips is going to continue his M.O. of cheap pot shots, inflammatory comments and high-fiveism during this time of uncertainty in the AMR saga. That's what he does. So, relax and enjoy the ride. It's possible soon he may have little to be giddy about, but until then you should expect at least one person here to return his never ending B.S.
