First off, yes is a violation to the status qou... and no, we can not do anything about it. If they want to pay us more they can.

While reading on keep in mind this is the management team that reportedly sat down in a recent negotiation session, with a serious face mind you, and offered a FO pay scale of Compass - yes minus , 2 with no wage increase for captains and explaining that we will be the best paid pilots in the industry 5 years from now. No offense to Compass pilots, I am just trying to be clear about how this backwoods operation thinks.

So, here's is the thing... To a 36.62 club member (most of us), "more" equates to about $80 a month, yes a dollar an hour. Loose one turn due to weather or maintenance and you loose your dollar. It's really only first year pilots that got a bump and you'll still make more at Piedmont flying an airplane with half the seats in it. No, its not a shiny new jet but trust me when I say that wears off about as quick as the warm fuzzy feeling you have just before your first interaction with crew scheduling.

You can also enjoy a year on reserve in god knows what base that will most likely reduce it's staffing shortly after you can hold a line and have just moved your family there. At which point, you guessed it Johny, back on reserve. They won't actually push you out because that would mean that they would have to pay you to move to a new base but once it sucks bad enough long enough you'll look at other bases you can hold a line at... mover beware. (see Airwhisky closing RDU)

Moving on...Once this Frontier stain is finally off the shorts of RAH and we return to profitable (yes both will happen) you can anticipate Denver and maybe Kansas City closing as there will be no more Frontier. (side note...there is still, for no good reason, some Airways flying out of KC).

Regardless at that point the 190's and all of its options will be sold back to what will most likely become American Airways along with the 60 Airbus Neo positions. That pipe dream C Series, those options and will be sold to someone mostly likely overseas at which time you will also see massive reduction amongst the pilot group here at RAH. (American Airways won't be hiring because they fixed there attrition problem by combining and downsizing) Point being the Attrition here due to people getting better jobs will slow as well.

The pay rates will return to their present state of embarrassing, the share holder will enjoy his profits and Brian will enjoy his pool, tennis court and indoor Basketball/Racketball court all well basking in Gods light.

Now I don't mean to paint a negative picture here but to you new fellas... find a better gig, trust me when I say, one exists.
Apparently you don't realize that even with the crap the company does to you, it's still a better place than a few other places. You've probably never been anywhere else and just hear from word of mouth from other pilots that hate their job too. I understand this company and it's contract need a lot of work. Just understand that this mudslide of a company you work for is actually a little bit more stable than a few other places.
