Why not inlcude Reserves? I think they should.

At any rate... you got better numbers?
I think reserves get about 74 hrs. on a vaca month x 3 weeks/yr = 71 hrs. month, AND do reserves still get paid more than 70 a few months per year(I did many times), but I won't include that in the math below.....

Lineholder: 10,700 x 85% = 9,095 x 87 hrs = 791,265 hrs/mo.
...Reserve: 10,700 x 15% = 1,605 x 71 hrs = 113,955 hrs/mo.

113,955 + 791, 265 = 905,220 / 10,700 = 84.6 hrs/mo.

So it is only a 2.4 hour difference, and remember that the 87 number is a max, many ALPA volunteers don't even do enough volunteer days to equal the max fill up.

Also no pilot can pick up a premium pay trip if they get ALPA "flight pay loss", so it actually can REDUCE the income of pilots who would have picked up a premium trip once a year (all theoretical of course, I haven't had a premium trip in years.....)
