#1 The company already knows where I live.
#2 The company knows what trips I am on.
#3 The company knows which hotels I am staying in.
So I take my iPad from my home, to work for my trips and to the hotels. They already know this anyway. Not like I am going to be taking this thing to the bar or some strip club and turn the thing on.
In addition, why would anyone be doing personal, non-work related activities on the company-issued iPad anyway? Doesn't make sense. Sure, do your work email on it (I guess UAL guys currently have e-mail via the company) but any personal email accounts I certainly wouldn't be accessing on it.
