You can only be used as a pawn so much ("hey we are all working together for mutual goals and interests") before you realize everything is completely one sided. Time to sober up and fight back.
FWIW, on my previous trip, the other guy and I kept track of the additional stuff we did to keep the operation running smoothly.
It was highly significant. I am not advocating any type of job action. I am merely stating that we pilots grease the wheels well beyond anything we're getting paid for, and the company would be remiss to think we don't know it.
