So once the SLI is complete, you will have new hires at the bottom of the list who are active but will also have folks senior to them that are furloughed (assuming that L-CAL hires later this year)? Just trying to understand how that dynamic will play out.

It almost seems like you would have to furlough all the new hires and then start fresh with recalls because none of the L-UAL pilots would have been offered a true recall.
Furloughed will not be able to displace a more junior pilot who is on property. They will have to wait for a training slot to become available.

When they do return, they will regain their position ahead of the junior pilot.

The company will hire into the CAL side until the point of the ISL. then hiring will stop until all furloughed have been offered recall, assuming that has not happened already. Hiring would resume after the recalls. All pilots hired now or on the future will be placed below all pilots including furloughed on the seniority list.
