Yep, the -700 does that now and either a -900 or E-175 will do that at exactly 76-seats. AA seeks the greater of 255 or half the domestic fleet. The "gap" then becomes between 76-seats and 126-seats (A319) wheras currently it's between 64-seats and 140 seats. That future smaller gap can be filled by anything rom the 105-seat 737Max down to the 94-seat mixed-class E-190 or possibly a new entrant.
