Very true, but do you mean that it is better anywhere else? At least here there are unions to play politics with. In China you get fined for setting off a FOQUA alert. $10000 plus for an altitude bust. Europe has 900 hour a year schedules and you get paid only when you are flying. In the winter when the flights are cut your paycheck gets cut too.

We sometimes take for granted all the safeguards and work rules that have filtered down to even the smallest carriers, standards that guys bled for 75 years to get.
