While that would be insane WRT Piedmont and Allegheny, they do have a point WRT the original Mid Atlantic. At the time Mid Atlantic was USAir. USAir call sign, USAir certificate, and the pilots were not officially furloughed. Yet the nic treated them as if they were at a different regional actually under furlough. While they have a solid point on that, I think it only applies to around 100 pilots or so before Mid Atlantic was sold off. Hardly enough to "overturn" nic in its entirety but you never know. When you're deep into the region of reverse command pulling up still feels instinctual for some reason.
