They have come up with a new slogan. This is from yesterday's MEC publication entitled "Touch & Go's":
In the midst of the industry’s constant evolution, we believe the Delta pilots may once again have an opportunity to succeed in a timely manner. With all of this in mind, your MEC concluded its recent meeting with a unanimous resolution, which read in part that:

Our reps are stating that they (and we) want an industry leading contract. Our reps (and we) are stating THAT is the primary goal and they won't weaken that goal in the pursuit of speed. Our MEC clearly disagrees. The MEC says they can't deliver on industry leading. They can only deliver on "superior". Superior to what is of course, an unknown.

Reminds me of the used car salesman whos carefully chosen words (ie semantics) tries to make up for that pile of dung in the back alley with sawdust in the transmission. It will quietly and smoothly shift gears/move under its own power just far enough to get you out of the lot before it comes to a grinding halt. Oh yeah, unfortunately no refunds once you realize what just happened
