You have to meet the minimums regardless of gender, color, etc. Look on the airline's websites. The requirements will say whether the time has to be turbine, etc. I would say that at FedEx, UPS and SWA you have to have turbine.
what r u smoking?...i personally know 5 people who got hired at fdx in the mid to late 90s with no..i repeat... no PIC turbine time...they were FOs at commuters and flight instructors before that...gimme a break...and who has a chip?...i got hired!!!!
