Again it shows your lack of exposure. A vast majority of airlines have hiring done by pilots. All majors historically have had pilots on the hiring board, many times being the vast majority. Most historically also have a captains/pilots review process for those HR wants to hire, in which they must pass.
For example EAGLE was entirely pilots doing the hiring. This is AMR and modeled after AA.
I know your excited to go fly for an airline, but wait till you come see the meat and potatoes of this industry, and you will see that you should have just listened to what people were saying.
