So the decision to declare BK was made MANY moths ago, long before numbers 1 & 2 decided to stuff their pockets full of cash.
Is that really a surprise to anyone anymore? CEO's go the the BOD and show how they can save millions by restructuring through bankruptcy and they negotiate a percentage of the savings to stick around.
Just the way management works in industries that are so important to the national economy and where the government doesn't want to pay for bailouts.
