You're right, an uptick will require more airplanes and pilots. There is no limit to how many 50 seaters they can add with cheap oil refinery owned fuel and of course they can use Alaska to supplement.

Bummer. Don't you think the regional model is pricing itself out of existence, requiring more mainline? Plus regional pilot staffing is an issue too. I'm just surprised that we've gone this long without hiring again...of course, another merger complicates it more.
So half of the AA flights from DFW-MSP were cancelled today due to hail damage. I was lucky to get a jumpseat on a DCI carrier this morning!
