There will be no shortage, there is always something around the corner to solve it. The flight and duty time regulations are going to cause a bunch of international flights that are currently flying augmented crews to fly unaugmented so that offsets some retirements, capacity will shrink some that will offset some retirements. I'm just skeptical of a pilot shortage.
