The flight and duty time regulations are going to cause a bunch of international flights that are currently flying augmented crews to fly unaugmented so that offsets some retirements, capacity will shrink some that will offset some retirements. I'm just skeptical of a pilot shortage.
I think the issue won't be lack of pilots, but lack of loans to pay for training. School loans are the next bubble to burst IMO, as everyone is going to college spending lots of money doing so, only to graduate with no job and unable to pay back their loans.
