I have a similar issue with not having 50 hours in the last year. After my application was rejected, I emailed the Careers office to ask for clarification. Here's their reply:
"Thank you for your email and interest in Alaska Airlines. Unfortunately, the 50 hours in the last 12 months is a requirement for this position.
Alaska Airlines Recruitment"
I did they same and received the same, just didn't have a chance to post here. Embrace the suck.
