Sorry to bring this up again, but this contract extension rumor has serious legs. I just had a Capt ask me what I thought of the company's extension offer. When I said I had only heard rumors, he claimed it was discussed by the Lax LEC a few days ago. Anyone know of this being confirmed at a LAX LEC event? He stated the company offered a sizable pay increase but asked for more big rjs. The sad thing was he then tried to convince me it was a good offer! There are guys out there who will sell out the bottom half...beware.
I wasn't there but a buddy was. That was NOT discussed. His over view was cautiously optimistic. Progress being made in several areas and the goal is a contract by the end of the year. Pay, retirement and scope were the priorities.
Try to attend the upcoming P.U.B. events in your area. I wish I'd been there for mine. I was flying.
