Classic Delta story: A Captain's hat blew off and was run over by a truck. His claim to be reimbursed for the cost of a new one was denied, so on the next trip, he told the S/O: "Let me fill out the pay sheet this time."
When the pay sheet was turned in, clerks were puzzled by a note in the "remarks" section: "The hat's in there. You find it."
