It was mentioned in ONE article written for a Canadian audience. The Canadian tax payers are on the hook for these planes now - don't believe everything you read on the internet. So yes, those planes are gone. United doesn't want them and if any carrier in the US is dumb enough to take the leases on those planes to try and fly them for United they too will be in BK within one year. Be careful what you wish for.
