I can see them furloughing because of age, because you know how old that person will be on that magic date. I can't see how they'd furlough someone based on hours because there's no telling how much or little someone will fly. The new rule comes out in just over 16 months, which would be 75 hours of flying a month for someone with the lowest possible amount of time to hit 1500 by next August, which could be achievable. And if you meet the frozen mins (college or military), this mark wouldn't be a problem. Hopefully they move the eligibility date for these forward to actually allow for people to get their frozen ATP BEFORE they are required.
