If my tattoos mean I can't fly in the military, then I will just stay civvie and work on my career like I've been doing. I wear long sleeves and pants every day of my life so it isn't that big of a deal to most employers.
In my almost 20 years as an airline pilot and having been a pilot at three different major airlines I can honestly say that I've never seen a pilot with visible tattoo's.
I know more than a few who have stuff under the shirt line.
I did notice that one of our interns has a star tatooed on the underside of his wrist the other day. I don't know if attitudes about that are changing since tatts are becoming more socially acceptable.
