I'd agree with most if not all of your answer. The two MECs appear to have little in common, a different objective and time line.
Having flown for both sides, find it sad that the two could not work together from the beginning. I believe they will part ways to the detriment of both pilot groups. Their actions have been worse than congress, at least congress is bought and paid for by special interests.
