My GMC is just about to hit 180,000 miles. Still running strong-ish.

Granted, not very many of the original parts remain. In the 40,000 miles I've put on it, I've replaced the alternator, the radiator, the fuel pump, the water pump, the compressor, the rear window, a passenger window, both side mirrors (stupid car wash), the sway bar bolts, a couple of tires (stupid nails), the distributor, all of the spark plug leads, the spark plugs (more than once), the fuel injectors, two of the brake rotors, plus all the standard maintenance you'd expect with owning your own vehicle.

The A/C is inop (this summer's gonna be rough ), 3 of the 6 speakers are inop, my dad sheared the recline handle off on the passenger side, and the engine surges 100 RPM at 40 and 60 mph (nowhere else, just those two speeds).

Anyway, I like GMC better than Ford. Mine's been places and gotten me there without too much of a struggle. It's days are numbered though, it's about time to get something more economical.
