Nope. Not what I'm saying at all. All I'm saying is that the US Airways wholly owned carriers have been getting screwed for years. Contract carriers can work on/obtain flying from anywhere. PDT/PSA relies on US Airways for our flying. It's just time for us to get a new fleet and some flying and let the contract carriers take what we can't cover. Not the other way around. I've said in many posts in the past that I don't want new flying and the cost of fellow pilots at other carriers. I have friends at all three of those carriers I mentioned. Merge the wholly owned carriers into 1 carrier, and contract out flying that the new wholly owned carrier, whoever the surviving name will end up being, can't cover to the contact carriers.
I will admit the phrase "Drop" was not the best choice of words.
I do not believe that airways will merge PSA and PDT. In fact, Scott Kirby was very clear on this topic. They looked into it and the savings were not worth the hassle. 2 mil/ year I believe was the actual number. Thats alot of money in my opinion but not to him I guess.
