What if your senority was based on the date that you completed the flight test for your ATP. The problem is that airlines wouldn't want to hire someone they had to pay more to put ahead of others. If by some stretch of the imagination we could limit the hiring ability to only being able to apply and interview at the posted minimums, but the airline couldn't ask for proof until after the job offer. This could keep them from discriminating. That way the people that put in the time, and get their certification are locked in at their date of ATP, and changing jobs won't be as detrimental to theory career. They slain won't have to worry about getting placed in the basement of a regional.
