All these 350 hour wonders willing to work for poverty wages or worse yet pay to work are a embarrassment to the US Air transportation system. How many people have the Gulf air express and or Silver airway's "graduates" killed off so far???.....Enough is Enough.

Set the Min's and sick too them......
Sounds great, I hope with all the bluster we seem to have on APC, you and and everyone else are taking it to www.regulations.gov and submitting comments before the end of this month!

The flight schools are trying to water down the current bill as it stands. (750 hours ex mil, 1000 hour puppy mill, 1500 hour part 61).

The schools most definitely ARE commenting on the NPRM and are claiming that having their students get 1,000 TT instead of 250 fresh comm is unreasonable, going to cause that "pilot shortage", raise pax tickets prices, and best of all; they claim the additional flight experience does NOT contribute to improving safety!! YEAH RIGHT!

Honestly, I am surprised the proposed law is as "harsh" as it is. Personally, I don't think there is a snowball's chance of anything better than to keep the law as proposed. Lots of groups are lobbying to rescind this proposal, or greatly undercut the proposed new minimums.
