True. You can't fly the 88 anymore. However, they can give you a Mid Month Conversion (MMC) I think and you could be on the hook to fly the 9 after you complete OE. I'm not sure if they can do that or how it will pan out schedule wise.
You can check with the 9 OE scheduler and ALPA if no one pipes in with a better answer.

My pea brain looks at it like this, simple...conversion is about pay. oe is about qualification. Once your oe's are done, then your schedule as shown on DLnet matters.
