Very true. But profit sharing and retirement contributions are NOT part of the $234,000/year the average SWA Captain makes (and over $140K the average SWA F/O makes). If you're going to include those items, then the "total" compensation is going to have to be more like $275K to match SWA. I would submit that the vast majority of that needs to be W2 income.
