Our clearances have to be in QFE meters. Then we go to a conversion chart. I cannot remember why we do this. Especially when the only plane that lands there (MD11) has a meters switch on the altitude select.
But back to the point, this is a highly technical business with a lot of head work involved. No idea what the guy with the bus driver tourettes does for a living. But I bet he's the ace of the base.
