2) I remember hunkered down in the old leaky DC-3s listening to airway markers for "tone", hoping to see smudge pots through cracks in the clouds on the old mail run. I couldn't believe how soft so many guys got with the advent of pressurization and the ability to use one of those directional radios. How much skill does it take to fly? I mean the needle points to the station for chrissakes.
