As a third party observer, I've never been more proud of a pilot group.

My grandfather flew the Clippers for Pan Am and he would tell me stories of how they were always actively involved in company decisions. In today's world, so many pilot groups sit passively by as self indulgent, egocentric "managers" dry hump old ideas and rename them as their own. American is a great airline and I honestly hope that one man's ego won't hurt its future.
