First of all...Everyone's going to have an oppioion on "% of retro-pay", that I will agree upon. To [U
allow[/U] MGT to futher "pick our collective pockets" (along with the Government) by titling "RETRO PAY as a Signing Bonus", NO THANKS. The sum of $$$ attached to "Retro PAY" is just that, PAY. That sum should NOT be taxed as a "Bonus". Stating the obvious, taxes on a "Bonus" vs "Pay" are big, especially with the size of RETRO PAY that most of us expect. This is NOT Profit Sharing, RETRO is the repayment of a loan that is MILES over-due to ALL PILOTS.
End story.....There is a BIG difference in how the "bank-roll" hits our pocket's. I for one refuse to get 'short-changed' by giving the Gov anymore $$$ than I need to, especially on something as simple as to how it's titled within a CBA(J).

There it is. It's all about the reationships. Zullo and Farrow were two peas in a pod. They were both negotating against us while in the uion hall and if you look at who they spoke to and confided in you can see where their loyalties lied. just list out every rep, negotiator, grievance guy, etc over the last 10 years and then annotate what company position they currently hold to figure out where the relationships are. If they were appointed, annotate who appointed them. Annotate the maker and the seconder.
I disagree about retro. The farther we get from the amendable date, the harder it is to get. Not impossible, but you may have to trade valuable fruit to get it. Are you willing to do so?
My dream cba has a generous balance of cash up front, cash every month, and cash at the end of the rainbow. I don't have tunnel vision on just retro pay. But, the very first secton I read is not section 3, it will be section 1.....SCOPE.
