[QUOTE=80ktsClamp;1182691]I'll second Timbo.
Pro standards is the first element of escalation for a tool, and I've only called pro standards about one guy I've ever flown with.
I can deal with toolbags, douches, and whatever else... but I can't deal with an unsafe toolbag douche. Not to mention, I was paired with the guy for the whole month. I've never had to say to someone "sorry, but I will not call for takeoff clearance until we have configured the airplane properly" until this guy.
I heard he got fired about 5 months later for other issues. He had made a bunch of money in the dot com boom and decided to be an airline pilot. Southwest was his absolute goal and he did everything he could to do what he felt WN would do in any given situation. I had never heard the nose wheel tire squeal on a CRJ before him. He knew WN liked to taxi fast, so he did. He knew they liked to "think outside the box," so he did.
Whew..
