If you're talking about interview questions, those may be more about personality than getting a right answer. They just want to see how you handle the situation. When I interviewed eons ago, during the HR portion of the interview I was handed an approach chart for somewhere in Mexico and asked to determine the distance I would fly from the IAF, along a DME arc, to the FAF. I thought for a second then started trying to give them a precise number but then the pilot interviewer asked what method I was using to get the numbers. As soon as I said the "1 in 60 Rule" that was it, "Thanks, go wait in the hall please". Forty five seconds later I had the job. I'm still convinced that they do that because they want to see how you react when thrown a curveball.
