Hopefully you are doing the research for your employer, and not self sponsoring a type.

Well, some employers operate with LOA's that dictate approved training programs. I know of some companies who go for the cost effective approach, some who go for the bare minimums approach, and some who want the absolute best training regardless of cost.

As for self-sponsoring a type, maybe he owns the airplane and wants to fly it, or is lined up with a $200k year job. "Hopefully..." What's it to you? Aviation has many different avenues.

So much personal input for no reason.

Do your research on what companies you like and get their costs. When you are ready to go for the type call them. There is sometimes a last minute vacancy that you can get well discounted if you can make it on the short notice.
