I'd advise him to not send in the information, because although it's perfectly normal, and indeed, preferred, to marry one's own sister, or failing that, one's first cousin in Tennessee, I'm not sure how the company would treat said situation. In fact, they might be inclined to pass said information along to the federal government, or more specifically, to the Internal Revenue Service. So if this "friend" has been filing his federal tax returns as "Married, filing jointly", he could be in a lot of trouble, because last I knew, the feds frown on fraud, in much the same way that our company does.
