No. There are plenty of pilots looking for jobs right now. There will be a shortage of pilots willing to work for starting regional wages. There already is. There are plenty of American pilots doing other things or flying overseas that would get back into flying in the U.S. for a decent paying job. These mega mergers mean we will need less pilots, and you will have less options. If you want to be a pilot, have at it, but the pilot shortage is a pipe dream. Our country was over-saturated with airliners a few years ago and is finally starting to correct itself. I don't want to discourage you, but you need to know the truth. The future is not as great as you make it out to be.
