I know this is silly, but I actually did make an Excel chart a while back making a hypothetical "monthly budget" on a regional FO salary living in an apartment in Atlanta during the very first year. It's tough, that's for sure, especially on a 1st year FO reserve salary, but possible. But I hope that it turns out to be worth it. I'm probably falling pray to the "shiny jet syndrome" that so many people talk about though...
