Here's some advice. Listen to the people on this board, 99% of have been there with the decisions you are making.

I would ABSOLUTELY recommend NOT going to ERAU for only a commercial aviation degree. 8 years ago I was in high school certain I wanted to do this for a career. Now I've been in it for a while I'm trying to find a career outside of commercial flying because my priorities have changed. I want to have a family, be around for my kids births, coach their sports, watch my daughter go to prom, etc...had I gone to ERAU I would be in a much worse situation(debt, and no backup plan).

What your doing sounds like you are a smart person. That you are very analytical. Don't just think you are a airline pilot for life and limit yourself. What if you lose our medical? Now you've got 150k in debt and no backup.
