We probably agree on more things than we disagree on. I can't think of a single worker in any industry that is "over paid" with the exception of pro sports and executive management. I don't believe anybody could be worth millions of dollars regardless of the role they play. I do believe that airlines that pay great wages i.e. Southwest and Fedex do get more from their employees because they invest in them as "human resources" vs. looking at employees as a cost that needs to be lowered. As far as the "Regionals" are concerned, none are doing remarkably well at this point.
