Well not to offend Lilli but UAL was notorious after losing a consent decree hiring females and blacks with next to no time. Do not know if this is the case today.. My cousin was a USCG C-130 pilot search and rescue and a Coast Guard grad from the academy and UAL told him to pound it and hired a female with 600 hrs flying DC-3's who was an Embry Riddle grad. My cousin is a 737 capt for Alaska Airlines now.
