I want to +1 HMP's sentiments. Many people are surprised when I tell them that the main reason I do this job is for the pay, schedule, and benefits. The key word is job. Sure, this line of work is much better than a lot of other things I could be doing, but at the end of the day it is a job. A very good job but a job nonetheless.
I would have to agree. And sadly, it's like a lot of other crap.
It's all about keeping expectations real, as well as managing said expectations.
And often times, you can expect it to be just J-O-B JOB. I don't really want to do any other job.
