Here's how to do well in training: 1) Get the take home tests done first, as best as you can. 2) Up until your training date study limitations and try to get basic concepts down with the hydraulic and electrical systems...the Dash is a very Hydraulic/Electric heavy airplane. Basic concepts including memory devices like FARPIN and LOSER for the #1 and #2 hyd systems respectively. 3) When you arrive at the hotel for your class or if you know people in your class before getting to the hotel, call them and bounce your answers off of eachother...its a crew concept remember! 4) Do not go into the first day of class without reviewing your answers with other classmates. Those take home tests are a big part of day one. 5) Continue to utilize the crew concept all throughout training...study with everybody a couple hours each day. 6) Do not goof off or party!...Some of the peeps in our last classes did not grow up and thought they should use their non-rev priveledges to party on the weekend. DO NOT DO THIS! Take one day a week, disconnect from it, but get back into it for the school week on SUN. 7) The instructors stay at the same hotel...you will be watched...act like you should be held responsible for 37 people. 8) Lastly and more importantly...if you have any questions ASK them...either here...your instructors...or fellow classmates. If you are confused and dont clear the issue up right away, you will start to stumble. ----Do not worry about flows or power settings or callouts until you get to that point. Follow these directions and you should make it through training no problem!
