Which hand is he/she reaching for the gear handle with? If it's their left hand, slap it the heck off there. If it's their right hand, that's the right that's been entrusted to them by the company and the FAA. Put the gear down. Now - you touch my heading bug, we're gonna have words over beers later.
Just because you are the pilot flying doesn't mean you're the pilot captain.
