I think you would be crazy to use your personal Ipad. You lose it, you break it, you're not up to date or the FAA decides to inspect it. While I support the idea of the paperless cockpit, I don't want to use my stuff. I didn't buy a people PC, either.
At JFK the rampers (probably cleaners) opened my closed flight bag while I took a Starbucks run and took the candy I had bought for the flight attendants.
While that was a $5 issue (shrug); a tablet computer would probably require 24 / 7 babysitting to keep from being stolen by one of the millions of non-Delta employees that are all over Delta Air Lines jets. Once they figure out there is something they can take off the flight deck they'll start seeking them out.
