9e took a much bigger bite then they could handle. Buying 9L in 2007 and then Mesaba a few years later proved to be too much.
I agree....PT got too big for his britches. But from what I hear 9e was pretty much "told" by DL to buy XJ. One reason DL initially said they would pay for all training costs for the XJ guys to come over to the 9e side.
