Flyfast, Hey bud don't shoot the messenger. No, my buddies were not the ones that hired this guy. I do not think that they needed direct word from HR as why this guy got hired. It is fairly easy to figure out why this individual got hired. In Alaska, the natives have a huge advantage. If your competing for a job and your competition is an Alaskan native; you lost. No, Betty Slater probably did not throw her hands up and say, "we got to hire this guy." However, this makes her and the company look good. Have you heard of a little thing called " diversity."
