Just to return the favor, your post sounds like a bitter "insider" wishing he wasn't. Just because you are an airline pilot, dont project your views on others. I'll take a guess and say I was a 121 pilot before you solo'd.

There is good and bad in both, to be sure. I have a good gig--retirement, predictable schedule, all expenses, varied flying. Not sure I'd want a career of it, but ten years, post-AF and airline, is pretty much smiles everyday.
