My main premise is: Why would we extend our contract.
To back this up, I have to ask some questions. These are from a "labor" perspective.
1. What interest do we have in quickening the shrinkage of 50 seaters?
2. Why would we even consider exchanging 50's for 76's on an ASM neutral basis?
3. How would an unchanged DCI ASM really translate to increase mainline block hours?
4. How would more 76 seaters, with the economic efficiency of mainline jets negatively impact our future bargaining leverage?
5. Is there ANY upside to allowing the further outsourcing of 76 seat flying?
6. Who gains from increasing 76 seaters? Who loses?
