No difference at all. The Part 1 PIC is logging the time he is acting as PIC.
There is nothing in the regs that authorizes the Part 1 PIC to log PIC time on every flight*.
*for FAA purposes, as in to meet requirements for certificate, ratings, privileges and currency.
